Did you know ALDI is now offering curbside pickup at select stores and one of them is right here in Harford County? Yes! That’s right! The Aberdeen store has quietly rolled out a curbside pickup option and they have partnered with Instacart making it super easy to place orders. I was so excited to hear this because the Aberdeen store happens to be my local store.
So how does ALDI curbside pickup work?

Once you have created your account, you will want to select ALDI as your store, and then choose curbside pickup and pick the store location closest to you. It will also allow you to select your pickup date and time. (This is where you will usually see the pickup fee if there is one.) Now it’s time to add the items to your cart and place your order!
I have noticed that in my area I can usually schedule a pickup time for the very next day which is super convenient!
So what happens next? I recommend downloading the Instacart App if you haven’t already done so because that is how you will notify the store that you have arrived when you pick up your order. When you arrive at the store to pickup your order, you will want to park in one of the designated spots in the parking lot and use the app to let them know you have arrived! Super easy!
Do they charge a fee for this service?
According to ALDI’s web site, a small pickup fee will be applied to each order to offset the costs of Curbside shopping. However, keep in mind that the items may be a different price online than compared to the prices in the store. One other thing to keep in mind is that you will be charged a small for each bag that they use. This is just a small fee like they do in the store if you don’t bring your own bags.
Is there a minimum order amount?
Yes, at the time of writing this there is a $10 order minimum for the curbside pickup option for the Aberdeen store.
Do you have to tip the ALDI curbside shopper?
No, per ALDI’s web site, “Curbside shoppers do not accept tips. We prefer to pass these savings to you for your next order!”
