Faith Communities and Civic Agencies United, Inc. ( FCCAU) is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing safe emergency shelter to individuals experiencing homelessness and to assisting and empowering those individuals to obtain housing.
FCCAU operates Welcome One Emergency Shelter, which is a full service shelter that provides shelter, meals, laundry and shower facilities to 33 individuals. Case managers assist residents’ efforts to obtain government benefits, employment, physical and mental health treatment, and housing.
In addition to the standard roles and responsibilities of a board member, our members are active advocates and ambassadors for the organization and are fully engaged in identifying and securing the financial resources and partnerships necessary for FCCAU to advance its mission.
We are currently recruiting new members. Prior nonprofit board experience and/or formal board training is not necessary.
The Board is comprised of 12-15 individuals who are dedicated to the organization’s mission. Serving on the Board is an extraordinary opportunity for an individual who is passionate about helping others. Board terms last for three years and board members can serve for up to two consecutive terms.
